Questions & Answers

What do I need to know about The Cabin Experience?

The Cabin Experience is an intense and safe, totally interactive 3 day personal growth conclave designed to get you in touch with your inner self, showing you how to successfully deal with your past, handle the present and create a future that works to your benefit – deliberately and on purpose!

When does The Cabin Experience start and end?

All Cabin Experiences begin on Thursday morning at 9:00 AM sharp and end late on Saturday evening. This means you must fly in either on Wednesday afternoon in time for 6:30 PM dinner or anytime later Wednesday evening and schedule your departure on the very earliest flight out on Sunday morning.

What about the sleeping accommodations?

The Montana Island Lodge has very comfortable and immaculately clean accommodations, but there are a limited number of rooms. Therefore each participant will share a sleeping room with one or more guests. Go to for a pictorial overview.

What does The Cabin Experience fee include?

The Cabin Experience fee includes everything you will need, (sleeping accommodations, all meals, gratuities, and transfers to and from Missoula Airport). Not included are your airfare and personal incidentals.

Who makes the airline reservations?

You are responsible for making your own airline arrangements. Your destination is Missoula International Airport in Missoula, Montana (Code MSO).

Once airline arrangements are completed, you must e-mail your flight itinerary to me at Upon Arrival you will be met at the airport by a driver who will transport you to The Cabin – a 50 minute ride. If you book your flight early, you will experience a much larger savings.

Remember that most of you may have to take two (sometimes three) planes and you must get there by our required starting time. Therefore, you may want to consider flying in on Wednesday evening and staying at a local airport hotel. In that case, the van will pick you up and transport you to The Cabin on Thursday morning, a 50 minute enjoyable picturesque ride through Montana.

What about the weather?

The weather can be chilly, rainy, sunny and/or warm depending upon what time of the year you arrive. I suggest you dress in layers as it is usually colder in the mornings and evenings (50’s – 60’s) and warmer in the middle of the day (70’s – 90’s).

What is the dress code?

This entire event is very casual so you can dress comfortably and wear jeans, shorts or sweats, etc. I would suggest bringing a sweatshirt, sweater or light jacket (weather permitting, we enjoy our meals outside on the fabulous deck overlooking Salmon Lake).

Also, remember to bring along a bathing suit as we are directly on the lake and/or you can enjoy the hot tub outside on the deck. Sunglasses, sun block and sneakers should be part of your gear.

Do cell phones work in the mountains of Montana?

Yes, cell phones work – but NOT for you! To ensure that we have your full attention, we are giving you fair warning that while at The Cabin we plan to take away your cell phones and BlackBerry’s, etc., and ask that you refrain from using any electronic devices to communicate with the outside world.

We will, of course, provide you with two telephone numbers in case of emergency.

What other onsite activities are available?

Other onsite activities include a fitness center, steam room, hot tub, horseshoes, two canoes, two paddle boats, four hydro boats, a pontoon lake cruiser for 12, a pool table, lounging chairs, fishing gear, picnic tables, and a magnificent vista to move you to peace and tranquility
